Outline

The seminar on IT & EDI in Port Business covers several aspects in the field of information and computer applications in current port operations. Attention will be paid to system and suply chane management, cost accounting, radio and radar communication, electronic data transfer, planning procedures, corporate information systems and other IT applications in port business.
Site visits will introduce the operational aspects of IT in modern port communication (such as the Antwerp Port Information System and the Vessel Traffic Service).
