As a seaport Antwerp is able to receive super-post-panamax ships within wide navigation windows. Container ships with capacities of more than 10,000 TEU already call at Antwerp, and thanks to further dredging work in the Scheldt the port will offer even better access in the near future.

Thanks to its inland location on the Scheldt, goods are already nearer to the consumer when they land in the port of Antwerp.
