The new postgraduate Internet of Things (IoT) course offered by the University of Antwerp, the University of Ghent and the Free University of Brussels starts in October 2017.

The business world needs people with combined expertise, qualified both in IoT technical skills and social-economic skills. This one-year course trains engineers and computer specialists to become IoT experts. For more information and to apply for the course go to http://www.postgraduaatinternetofthings.

Meanwhile, Antwerp Port Authority is collaborating with the City of Antwerp, Antwerp University and the IMEC research centre to develop a Capital of Things. One good example of this is the digital platform for secure, efficient release of containers on the port terminals.

With the Capital of Things project, the four partners seek to develop an ambitious and distinctive ecosystem around the Internet of Things, based in Antwerp. This ecosystem will comprise a fine-meshed innovation network that creates value by linking up education and training, research, living labs, risk capital, corporates and international brands.
