Wanted: investors for the Churchill Industrial Zone

Friday 24 11 2017

Antwerp Port Authority has issued a Request for Proposals for potential investors in the Churchill Industrial Zone, the former Opel site in the Churchill dock. The project site is ideally suited for activities in among others manufacturing and process industries with the focus on the transition to the circular economy, which will help to develop, synergise and diversify the Antwerp port platform.

The future activities on this site should create additional employment and generate sustainable added value. The new concession-holder should also make optimum use of the available possibilities for deepsea, rail, barge and pipeline transport.

Unique investment opportunity

The Churchill Industrial Zone covers an area of 88 ha which can be given in concession either as a whole or in different parts. The zone forms part of an industrial environment and is right next to the imposing chemical cluster in the Antwerp port area.
