Looking for a sustainable and reliable solution for its supply chain, the construction firm Knauf found a good partnership with the freight handler Zuidnatie. The inland navigation ship Dampezzo has been transporting both containers and coils between Terminal South and the ABES and Katoen Natie terminals since July. A major step forward for smooth inter-modal traffic at the port.

Two major breakbulk shipping companies in the trade between Europe and West Africa will be working together from now on. BOCS Bremen Overseas Chartering & Shipping has reached an agreement with Universal Africa Lines (UAL) to share their capacity.

In June, Port of Antwerp received one of the largest one-piece appliances ever. A propylene splitter with a length of 105 metres, a width of 10 metres and a weight of 1,600 tonnes was successfully transported from the quay to the Borealis site in Kallo.

At quay 131-133, Veemnatie is building new dry bulk facilities for the storage of ammonium sulphate. Veemnatie NV is a joint venture between 5th Havendok and C. Steinweg Belgium NV. They have joined forces to build dedicated warehouses for the Dutch chemical company Fibrant.
