The Antwerp port community presented earlier this week its 2nd Sustainability Report, documenting the ways in which Alfaport, the Left Bank Development Corporation and Antwerp Port Authority are continuing to collaborate for a sustainable port.

As of yesterday, PSAA Europa Terminal (quay 869) and PSAA Deurganck Terminal (quay 1742) are the ‘terminals of call’ for the rail connection to/from Athus (Belgium).

The ports intend to develop the Duisburg – Antwerp axis as one of the most important logistic corridors in Europe.

On 7 June 2013, the representative organisations of the inland tanker shipping industry, the chemical and petrochemical industries as well as the tank storage industry together with the sea ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp and with the support of competent authorities of Belgium and the Netherlands, established the Steering Committee “Gaseous Residues of liquid cargo in inland Tanker Shipping” (GRTS).

On Thursday 27 June 2013 the Turkish minister of Economy, Mehmet Zafer Caglayan, had a meeting with Flemish minister-president Kris Peeters and Eddy Bruyninckx, CEO of Antwerp Port Authority.
